We’ve enhanced our existing onboarding features within Workable HR, bringing you the ability to build end-to-end onboarding workflows and assign custom tasks to new hires, line managers, and admins. Get new hires up to speed faster, while saving your team days of admin work each month.

What’s changing

With our current onboarding features, customers can:

• Create onboarding workflows
• Build welcome pages
• Send welcome emails
• Prompt employees to fill in their profile information
• Sign documents like offer letters or NDA’s

And with this new launch, customers will also be able to: 

• Create custom onboarding tasks for the new hires, line managers, and admins
• Build truly personalized welcome portals with a much improved UI
• Temporarily share profile information with other team members (non-admins)
• Send notifications (via email, Slack, and the Workable inbox) to complete tasks
• Track the progress of an employee’s onboarding journey (to be released later in Q2 2025)

How it works

The improvements to our onboarding feature work by adding the ability for customers to create custom task categories, and custom tasks within those categories. These custom tasks (along with scheduled emails, and the ability to get documents signed by new hires, among other actions), can be assigned to line managers, admins, or the new hire themselves either before, on, or after their start date. They can then be added to specific onboarding workflows, based on entity, department, or individual employee.
